Modules

  1. Introduction to Multiclip - Using multiclip to edit multicam footage is easy and fun if you set up Final Cut Pro correctly.
  2. Advanced Multiclip - Using multiclip within the editing process is quick and being able to switch back and forth to multiclip is a real timesaver.
  3. Ripple and roll edits - Being able to edit and fine tune your edits without leaving gaps is where the ripple and rolling tools start to become essential.
  4. Slip and slide tools - Often used after a multiclip edit to fine tune and tighten the cuts.
  5. Editing with shortcuts - Tools are great for editing but shortcuts are where the speed is and getting to grips with them at an early stage will help workflow a lot.
  6. Trim window - Learning to use the tim window makes tightening the edit a joy and using the shortcuts from the previous lesson means that there are 2 places to try them out.
  7. Filters - Applying filters is essential for sorting out some shots, using them to change the look is great and animating filters brings them all to life.
  8. Masks and mattes - Removing parts of shots can be done a few ways and we go through different types of mattes and masks to get the job done.
  9. Speed changes - Sometimes a shot just will not work at its normal speed and sometimes you want to make it look different.
  10. Time re-mapping - When speed changes just won't do the job you can bring out the big guns and time re-map clips to get the whole thing slowing down over time.
  11. Exporting - Get the edit out of Final Cut Pro and converted to other formats. We go through different ways to do this and have a look at the files produced.
  12. Print and edit to tape - If you need to get back to tape there a few ways to do it and we break down 2 of the most used methods and see what the difference is.
